Limbo

When I actually start a writing project, doing the research and pondering how to present the facts, I can very easily get back into what I’ve enjoyed doing for so many years. But there have been many times in the last few years when inspiration was lacking and the desire to report, weak. Good observations and noteworthy thoughts have fallen by the wayside for years. What is it that makes one want to write just for the sheer pleasure of it? Am I proving something to myself, to others, or just enjoying something creative that’s innate and that will lead me to where it will go.  The drought may be over, and perhaps a reawakening now? Here in one fell swoop are two places – Florence,Italy and Budapest, Hungary that I truly enjoyed photographing but did not get around to writing about.

Glad to hear your muse has reawakened! The photo muse is delightful in its own right, but the right words are worth a thousand photos.

I agree. The photos are a great complement but its the words that matter to me.

The photos alone tell a story, a photo essay. Your words are always welcome but I wouldn’t worry too much about dry spells. They, too, tell a story and are important pieces of your life.
